Many artworks representing Japan are featuring trains and cherry blossoms. And in some places, the association of trains and cherry trees is more than a symbol… it’s the real landscape.
One such place is located in Kyoto, alongside the Arashiyama Electric Tram Railway line, between the Narutaki and Utano Stations. Here, you can enjoy a spectacular 200-meters long cherry blossoms tunnel, created by 70 beautiful sakura trees. At night time the trees are illuminated and the train is slowing down, so that the passengers can enjoy the view… And if you prefer, you can go along the train tracks, to enjoy the view of the train passing through the
cherry blossoms tunnel, like the railroad fans photographed here…
