Every Christian country has a traditional menu for Christmas, but in Japan, because the Christmas celebrations are imported, the Christmas menu was… reinvented. The other appeared in 1974, following the huge success of a KFC marketing campaign that presented Colonel Sanders dressed as… Santa. It is said that everything started after a foreigner declared that he ate chicken for Christmas, because he couldn’t find turkey… And so appeared the tradition to eat fast food fried chicken on Christmas Eve. In 2005, a survey indicated that 1 of 3 Japanese adults were following this new tradition…
