Japanese mascots, Domo-kun

Domo-kun was presented to the public for the first time 18 years ago, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the NHK satellite broadcasting. Today, he is one of the best known and well loved Japanese mascots, popular with children and adults alike.

Domo-kun is a brown monster, easily recognizable due to his rectangular and always opened toothed mouth, which is strongly contrasting to his astonished but cheerful eyes…
