Inside the Jigen-in Temple from Takasaki, behind the spectacular Byakue Dai-Kannon statue, you can find a small hexagonal hall, built relatively recently in 1979. Named Ko-on-do, this hall hosts another Kannon statue, called Ichigan Kannon (which means “One Wish” Kannon), with an interesting and rare spiritual tradition: worshipers are coming here praying for one - and only one - wish. After the wish is fulfilled, they are coming back to thank with an ema and… to pray for another wish.
