Kanazawa Castle gate and turret

Thu, July 28, 2016, by Muza-chan

The window of this turret of Kanazawa castle is featuring a decorative version of the traditional ishi-otoshi stone-throwing opening. Unlike the usual stone-throwing windows, this one is decorated with an elegant undulated shape gable, known in Japanese as karahafu.
