Kobe Harborland

Mon, July 23, 2012, by Muza-chan

One good place to spend a summer day in Kobe is the Kobe Harborland, a waterfront development located close to the JR Kobe Station. Besides several shopping malls, you can visit here the Kobe Mosaic, a complex of shopping streets including an amusement park with a large Ferris wheel. Also, this is the place where you can take a nice cruise around the port.

I took this photo with the Harborland area from nearby the Kobe Port Tower. The green, old-looking tower on the left is the Mosaic Watch Tower, which was built in 1914 and was originally used to observe the ships inside the Kobe Port.
