Kyoto Railway Museum

Sun, February 26, 2017, by Muza-chan

Built by the JR West Railway Company on the place of the former Kyoto Umekoji Museum, the new Kyoto Railway Museum is now the third great transportation museum in Japan, on par with the already famous JR East’s Saitama Railway Museum and the JR Central’s SC Maglev and Railway Park.

Besides the older exhibits of the Umekoji museum and of the former Modern Transportation Museum of Osaka, the Kyoto Railway Museum also features new exhibits, such as the 500 Series Shinkansen that can be seen in today’s photo.
