Matsuyama castle Honmaru

Tue, August 27, 2019, by Muza-chan

Located on a mountain and accessible only by a single road leading directly to the entrance, the Matsuyama castle was protected with a defensive architectural style called Renkaku. The main tower is built inside the inner defensive wall (honmaru), while the second wall (ninomaru) does not surround the first, being instead placed right in front of the entrance.
