Michinoku Folklore Village

Tue, February 5, 2019, by Muza-chan

In the Kitakami city, Iwate Prefecture, the Michinoku Folklore Village reconstitutes the life around the Kitakami River during a long period of time, from the Jomon period until the 20th century.

Here. you can see and visit inside 29 original buildings, from pit dwellings to farmer houses, and from checkpoints to schools. All of them are offering a very powerful image of how life was in this area.
