The main tower of the Ōzu castle was rebuilt 13 years ago with traditional construction materials and methods, and it looks now as it was 129 years ago, when it was destroyed by a fire. The two turrets however are original, and considering the great care taken to restore the castle both inside and outside, it deserves a place near the 12 surviving Japanese castles.
