Tenzaru soba is a popular summer dish in Japan, combining tempura and zaru soba, cold buckwheat noodles served on ice, on a bamboo basket called zaru. Both dishes are popular since in the Tokyo area since the Edo period, being considered among the “Edo Delicacies".
