Roof at Yushima Seido, Tokyo

Sun, March 31, 2019, by Muza-chan

On the roofs of the Japanese temples and castles, at each end of the main roof-ridge, there are often decorations in shape of a fictional animal, generically called seifun.
Photographed here is the roof seifun of the Yushima Seidō themple in Tokyo, with imaginary creatures with the head of a dragon and the body of a fish.
