Tokyo places, Shiodome SIO-SITE

Wed, June 1, 2011, by Muza-chan

I generally love modern cities and I like a lot all Tokyo’s skyscraper areas, but probably my all time favorite is Shiodome. Being a science-fiction fan, when strolling on Shiodome’s esplanade, with the Yurikamome passing above, I can easily imagine a futuristic city… Hard to believe that a few hundred years ago this was only a swamp…
The skyscrapers are very close to each other, so taking pictures here is quite a challenge, even with a wide-angle lens. And in reality it is much more impressive than any picture can display…
To the left (right behind the tree) you can see the Yurikamome Shiodome Station. The building with the black metallic ornaments is the Nittele Tower (Nippon Television Headquarters, 192.8 meters tall), and the brown building next to it is the Royal Park Shiodome Tower, a 172 meters tall hotel. Finally, the green skyscraper in the back is the Shiodome City Center (215.75 meters), a commercial office building.
