Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, Fujita Memorial Garden

Sat, October 17, 2015, by Muza-chan

Besides the Three Great Gardens of Japan (Kanazawa Kenroku-en, Mito Kairaku-en and Okayama Koraku-en), there are many more astonishing gardens, that are well worth a visit.

I very much enjoyed my visit to the Fujita Memorial Japanese Garden in Hirosaki, one of the largest (surface wise) gardens in Japan. Made in 1919, the garden is divided in two parts, a hilly part from where the visitors can admire the entire scenery and a flatland area surrounding the pond, photographed here. I had the chance to visit it on a clear autumn day, when the pond’s surface was smooth as glass, reflecting the surrounding trees… Simply beautiful!
