Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, Ozu Castle at sunset

Wed, December 9, 2015, by Muza-chan

As I wrote some time ago, I don’t think a life is enough to properly enjoy all the marvels of Japan. I carefully plan all my travels, and I’m happy and satisfied that, most of the time, my plans work out perfectly. Yet sometimes there’s even more fun when I discover something that makes me change the plans on the fly.

This happened recently when, while I was traveling to Uwajima to visit Uwajima-jō and to complete the list of the 12 surviving Japanese castles, I saw from the train the restored Ōzu Castle.

While I knew about it, back when I made the plans for this trip I decided to skip it. However, the scenery was so beautiful here that I decided to shorten my stay in Uwajima, and I returned to Ōzu. It was well worth it, the castle is a great experience, rebuilt of wood by using the original techniques. And the scenery is, as you can see in the photo, simply beautiful…
