The classical Japanese garden is an astonishing collection of plants, rocks, bridges, islands, lanterns and many other elements, all arranged to create a powerful impression.

A photo cannot convey the feeling you have when you’re inside, but a wide angle view such as this one taken at Rikugi-en, in Bunkyo, Tokyo, may give you a glimpse of the wonderful atmosphere to be felt as you enter the garden…
