SL Plaza Shimbashi Night View

Mon, November 8, 2010, by Muza-chan

There are in Tokyo several train stations where I like to take pictures directly from the platform. One of them is the Shimbashi Station. Looking towards west, you can see the SL Plaza - the “Steam Locomotive” Plaza.

The locomotive (a Japanese type C11 for the train buffs) was installed on this place in 1972, at the 100 years anniversary of the opening of Japan’s first railway, between Tokyo and Yokohama.
