Established during the Edo period as a town of rice merchants, Kurashiki features today one of the best preserved historical areas in Japan, the Bikan Historical Quarter. The merchandise sold here is no longer rice, the numerous shops offering a wide range of local made products. A very nice and enjoyable place, good for spending a few days exploring…
