Simply beautiful Japanese scenes, night-time glimpse of the Tokyo Sky Tree

Wed, May 7, 2014, by Muza-chan

The two main illuminations of Tokyo Sky Tree were especially designed to be specific to the local area and to harmonize with the surrounding environment. Thus, the pale blue night-time lighting matches the nearby Sumida River, while the purple shade was based on Edo murasaki ("Edo purple") a traditional color that was very popular in Edo.

However, on various festive occasions, the tower is more vividly illuminated, as in today’s photo, taken around Christmas, when the tower was brightly shining over the city… Simply beautiful!
