Umeda cityscape

Tue, September 27, 2016, by Muza-chan

150 years ago, the Umeda district in Osaka was a rural area, but today, it has the highest concentration of high-rise buildings in the city. The best place to admire the area is the open air observatory on top of the Umeda Sky Building, which is located a bit away from the skyscraper concentration, far enough to offer a good perspective over the cityscape.

Photographed here is a view towards the West Umeda district, with two remarkable buildings, the highway pierced Gate Tower Building, and the Hotel Monterey Osaka, which has on the top the perfect replica of a 14th century church from Bruges, Belgium.
