View from the Mount Hakodate Observatory

Sat, November 17, 2018, by Muza-chan

Each of the cities included in the Three Major Night Views of Japan (Nihon Sandai Yakei), Hakodate, Kobe and Nagasaki, has something unique.

Mount Hakodate, on which the today’s photo was taken, is at the end of a peninsula and the view towards the city begins with a narrow strip of land, with the Hakodate Bay on the left and the Tsugaru Straits on the right. The dark water creates a beautiful contrast with the strong lights of the city.
