Besides a famed stone lantern and wonderfully trimmed trees, the Kenroku-en garden in Kanazawa also features a very special tea house (chashitsu), called Uchihashi-tei. Built on pillars and looking like it floats over the lake, Uchihashi-tei is 240 years old, and was brought to the garden in 1874, from a nearby horse-riding ground.
