Kobe Tetsujin Statue

Wed, September 21, 2011, by Muza-chan

Ever since I learned, 2 years ago, about the construction of the Tetsujin 28-gō statue from Kobe, I wanted to go see it for myself.
So here I am, at the feet of the magnificent robot, trying to play Shotaro (the character from the Tetsujin 28-gō manga, created by the Kobe-born artist Mitsuteru Yokoyama).

The statue is life-size, weights 50 tons and it is 15.3 meters tall (standing straight up, Tetsujin would be 18 meters tall). It is a great feeling… and to Shotaro, I would like to say just one thing… “Could you pass me the remote, please?!”
