Tokyo architecture, Tochomae Station Stargate Ring

Tochōmae is a station on the Toei Subway Ōedo Line, located in the skyscraper district of Nishi-Shinjuku, under the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, also known as Tochō (hence the name). The station’s architecture features a giant ring, very similar to the famous “Stargate” portal.

And for the Stargate fans, another nice coincidence is that the Tochōmae Station was opened in the year of the debut of the Stargate-SG1 television series, 1997…
