Japanese architecture, Osaka Cosmo Tower

Tue, August 7, 2012, by Muza-chan

One of the most elegant skyscrapers from Japan is the Osaka Prefectural Government Sakishima Building, known also as the Cosmo Tower (and formerly known as Osaka World Trade Center Building). With a roof height of 256 meters, it is ranked the third tallest skyscraper in Japan, after the Yokohama Landmark Tower (which is 296.3 meters tall) and with almost the same height the Rinku Gate Tower Building (256.1 meters - only 10 centimeter taller).

I especially like the giant curtain wall made of reflective glass and the inverted pyramid observatory, located at the 55th floor. It is said that from the observatory you can see the Kansai International Airport, the Awaji Island and the Rokko Mountains. I’ll check it out in a few weeks…
